THIS WEEK’S NEWS
A new WSJ/NBC News poll shows that the failed launch of
Obamacare is proving a major drag with the public at large. President Obama’s
job approval rating skidded to 42 percent, the lowest-ever rating in the poll.
That’s an 11-point drop from his job approval rating following his re-election
and 5 points since last month. The president’s tanking poll numbers and the
surge in concern over the beleaguered ObamaCare rollout will push more moderate
Democrats to conclude that their best path is away from the president and his
law. Shutdowns are temporary. ObamaCare is forever.
“The misery (Obamacare) will bring to almost every American
cannot be overestimated in its ability to incite anger -- and, anger has
consequences and repercussions. The failure of (Obamacare) has the
potential to make 2014 a wave election for Republicans. In 2016, we may
see a true conservative as president.

could keep their plan if they liked it. That was a lie. They’ve been duped and

On June 15, 2009, President Obama told a town hall meeting that “No matter how
we reform healthcare, we will keep this promise…. if you like your healthcare
plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take
it away. No matter what.”

They’re even making fun of Obamacare on Saturday Night Live.
Healthcare.gov´s implosion may be due to one of its major
developers being selected less for its technical competence than for cronyism.
HHS Secretary Sebelius rejected calls from Republicans to
personally enroll in one of the Obamacare marketplaces, saying she is happy
with the coverage she gets as a federal employee.

White House officials have pressured insurance industry executives to
keep quiet amid mounting criticism over Obamacare's rollout.

Exactly half the nation sees the year-old killings of the

Another Cold War coming?
Chinese state-run media revealed for the first time this week that Beijing’s nuclear

detailing, among other things, damage projections for Seattle and Los Angeles after being hit by Chinese
nuclear warheads and the deadly radiation that would spread all the way to Chicago.”
For months, administration officials have claimed no special
operations forces were dispatched from outside Libya to Benghazi
during the Sept. 11, 2012 al Qaeda terrorist attacks. Turns out that was a lie.

The Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., is arguing in a new
lawsuit that the Obama administration is engaged in a “conscious political
strategy to marginalize and delegitimize” Catholic “religious views on

as 12 clinics won´t be able to perform the procedure starting as soon as

abortions.”

Schlafely 10/30 “Amnesty is Republican Suicide”
An enormous body of survey research shows that large majorities of recent
immigrants, who are mostly Hispanic and Asian, hold liberal views on most policy
issues and therefore vote Democratic two-to-one. Their motivation is not our
immigration policy; it is economic issues. The 2008 National Annenberg Election Survey found that 62 percent of immigrants prefer a single government-run health care system. The 2010 Cooperative Congressional Election Study found that 69 percent of immigrants support Obamacare, and the Pew Research Center found that 75 percent of Hispanic and 55 percent of Asian immigrants support bigger government.
The Pew Research Center reported in 2011 that, of all groups surveyed, Hispanics have the most negative view of capitalism in America -- 55 percent. This is even higher than the supporters of Occupy Wall Street.
The data do not support the notion that immigrants are social conservatives. Heather MacDonald of the Manhattan Institute points out that, "It is not immigration policy that creates the strong bond between Hispanics and the Democratic Party, but the core Democratic principles of a more generous safety net, strong government intervention in the economy, and progressive taxation."
The current level of immigration, even without amnesty, will add nearly 15 million new potential voters by 2036, a large share of whom will favor the left. To allow this to happen will make Republicans a permanent minority party.
Looking at the political motivation of the groups pushing higher immigration and amnesty, it's obvious that the Democrats promote large-scale immigration because it produces more Democratic votes. But why are some prominent Republicans pushing amnesty?
The pro-amnesty New York Times gleefully reported on Oct. 26 the front-page news that big-business leaders and Republican big donors are gearing up for a "lobbying blitz," backed up by money threats, to get Congress to pass amnesty. Big business wants amnesty in order to get more cheap labor and keep wages forever low, and that is a gross betrayal of the legal immigrants who hope to rise into the middle class and achieve the American dream.
The big donors poured $400,000,000 into the campaigns of losing establishment-backed Republican candidates in 2012. They would rather elect Democrats than conservative, social-issue Tea Party-type grassroots Republicans who don't take orders from the establishment.
If the Republican Party is to remain nationally competitive, it must defeat amnesty in every form. Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, summed it up: "I think it would be crazy for the House Republican leadership to enter into negotiations with (Obama) on immigration, and I'm a proponent of immigration reform. ... He's trying to destroy the Republican Party, and I think that anything that we do right now with the president on immigration will be with that same goal in mind, which is to destroy the Republican Party and not to get good policies."

insurance. The scammers lure victims with false promises like, "If you
like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan." The
scammers will tell you that, so you have to be careful……..A lot of people are
accusing the president of being less than truthful. In fact, a couple of weeks
ago President Obama called me and told me personally that if I like my current
job, I can keep my current job. And I believed him!........According to a new
report, more than 700 fake ObamaCare websites have been created. Security
experts say it's simple to identify the phony sites because they are easy to
log on to.
