Illegals released by Obama administration officials stabbed an old girlfriend, robbed a man outside a 7-11, and murdered a young woman in New England after failing to be deported. The mayhem caused by Obama was discovered when the Boston Globe sued the Obama administration and found illegal aliens who were top deportation priorities were secretly turned loose back into New England communities — with as many as 30 percent going on to commit serious crimes such as attempted murder and rape.

Everyone knows about the problems with Trump University, but the media doesn’t seem interested in the “Clinton university” scandal.  Bill Clinton was paid $16 million by Laureate International Universities, an online diploma mill, to be their “honorary” chancellor. While Bill worked as the group’s pitchman, the State Department funneled $55 million to Laureate when Hillary was secretary of state.

COLUMN OF THE WEEK
Phillip Jennings  6/5  USA Today guest editorial

Apologists for Hillary Clinton’s alleged criminal mishandling of classified documents say that it doesn’t matter, that she really did nothing wrong, or nothing significant. But the real question is not so much what she did as how she has responded to being found out.

Once during the mid-1960s when I was on active duty in the Marine Corps, I was the air liaison officer for a battalion of Marines aboard 11 ships in the Mediterranean. As the air officer and a senior captain, I had a rotating responsibility for the nuclear code book, kept in the safe in the operations room of the lead amphibious squadron command ship. I shared that duty with another captain, a squared away young man, liked by all he commanded and the son of a very high-ranking Marine.

On the day our ships were leaving the Mediterranean, we met the new amphibious squadron near Gibraltar and made preparations to transfer security codes and other sensitive material to the incoming Marine battalion. The young captain was on duty and went to the operations office to pick up the code book. He was alone in the office. He removed the code book and placed it on the desk while closing the safe. In a rushed moment, he stepped across the passageway to retrieve something he needed from his quarters. Seconds later, he stepped back into the operations office and found the operations sergeant having just entered, looking down at the code book.

Against all regulations, the code book had been out of the safe and unattended. It mattered not that it was unattended for only seconds, that the ship was 5 miles at sea, or that it was certain no one unauthorized had seen the code. The captain could have explained this to the operations sergeant. He could have told the sergeant that he “would take care of it.” He could have hinted that his high-ranking dad could smooth it over.

But the Marine Corps’ values are honor, courage and commitment. Honor is the bedrock of our character. The young captain could not ask the sergeant to betray his duty to report the infraction, no matter how small. Instead, the captain simply said, “Let’s go see the colonel.”

That captain had wanted to be a Marine officer all of his life. It was the only career he ever wanted. When he reported the incident to the colonel, he knew he was jeopardizing his life’s dream. But he did it. The results went by the book. The amphibious squadron stood down. Military couriers flew in from NATO. The codes were changed all over Europe. The battalion was a day late in leaving the Mediterranean. The captain, Leonard F. Chapman III, received a letter of reprimand, damaging his career. He stayed in the corps and died in a tragic accident aboard another ship.

I saw some heroic acts in combat in Vietnam, things that made me proud to be an American and a Marine. But that young captain stood for what makes our corps and our country great.

Hillary Clinton is the antithesis of that young captain, someone with no honor, little courage and commitment only to her endless ambition. This has nothing to do with gender, party affiliation, ideology or policy. It is a question of character — not just hers, but ours. Electing Clinton would mean abandoning holding people accountable for grievous errors of integrity and responsibility. What we already know about her security infractions should disqualify her for any government position that deals in information critical to mission success, domestic or foreign. But beyond that, her responses to being found out — dismissing its importance, claiming ignorance, blaming others — indict her beyond anything the investigation can reveal. Those elements reveal her character. And the saddest thing is that so many in America seem not to care.

FROM OTHER COLUMNS
“The saddest aspect of the minimum wage story is the damage it does to human beings. The current hourly wage for a fast-food restaurant cashier is $7.25 to $9 per hour. That produces a yearly salary of $15,000 to $20,000, plus fringes. That’s no great shakes, but it is honest work and a start in life. It might be the very best some people could do. Enter the arrogance and callousness of the elite. Their vision of what a person should earn, expressed by higher minimum wages, destroys people’s best alternative without offering a superior one in its place. Maybe the elite believe that welfare, unemployment compensation and possibly engaging in illegal activities are a superior alternative to earning an honest and respectable living on a cashier’s salary. That is a despicable vision.”

“It is true that in his later years, [Muhammad] Ali lent his name and prestige to altruistic activities and worthy public appeals. … But when Ali was in his prime, the uninhibited ‘king of the world,’ he was no expounder of brotherhood and racial broadmindedness. On the contrary, he was an unabashed bigot and racial separatist and wasn’t shy about saying so. In a wide-ranging 1968 interview with Bud Collins, the storied Boston Globe sports reporter, Ali insisted that was as unnatural to expect blacks and whites to live together as it would be to expect humans to live with wild animals. … This was not some inexplicable aberration. It reflected a hateful worldview that Ali, as a devotee of Elijah Muhammad and the segregationist Nation of Islam, espoused for years. At one point he even appeared before a Ku Klux Klan rally……Ali was many fine things, but a champion of civil rights wasn’t among them. Martin Luther King at one point called him ‘a champion of segregation.’ If later in life Ali abandoned his racist extremism,  that is to his credit. It doesn’t, however, make him an exemplar of brotherhood and tolerance. And it doesn’t alter history: At the zenith of Ali’s career, when fans by the millions hung on his every word, what he often chose to tell them was indecent and grotesque.”

BOOKS, FILM
Hillary Clinton has a “Jekyll and Hyde” personality that left White House staffers scared stiff of her explosive — and even physical — outbursts, an ex-Secret Service officer claims in a scathing new tell-all. Gary Byrne, who was posted outside the Oval Office when Bill Clinton was president, portrays Hillary as too “erratic, uncontrollable and occasionally violent” to become leader of the free world.

The Clintons are in for a rough time as a host of documentary films aiming their fire at the political power couple are set to be released in the coming months.

New book by Bill Clinton’s lover Dolly Kyle: - before and after his marriage - tells how 'lumpy' Hillary schemed to get her to lie on 60 Minutes about Bill's other affairs.

Who is feeding Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign? Who are these people who have managed to spike the blood pressure of the Clinton political machine? For most, the areas in which Sanders’ small donors live won’t surprise anyone. They live in some of the most liberal parts of the country and in zip codes where the proportion of college graduates is high. It’s these people who have fed the self-described Democratic socialist’s army, filling his war chests in the hopes that he can accomplish the political revolution he clamors about on the stump. And most aren’t even in the workforce.

Steven Moore:  Why do donors give money to the Sierra Club? Are they trying to strangle the American economy? The liberal green group is celebrating its “victory” of putting America’s major coal producers out of business — to say nothing of the tens of thousands of miners placed in unemployment lines. Several thousand more mining jobs were lost last month. Now the Sierra Club wants to similarly bury the oil and gas industry.

Donald Trump´s remarks about Hispanics -- "They´re bringing drugs, they´re bringing crime, they´re rapists," he said of Mexican immigrants last summer -- have been called racist and shocking…. Yet along the Texas-Mexico border, Trump enjoys a well of support among Hispanic Americans that some might find surprising…..Tony Castaneda, the grandson of Mexican immigrants, cast one of those votes for Trump. "I´m a former chief of police in a border town. I´m Hispanic, I´m proud to be Hispanic and I´m 100 percent behind Donald Trump for his candidacy to the White House," Castaneda told CBS News. He isn't offended by the candidate's critical remarks. "He's very blunt. I'm blunt too. Maybe that's why I like some of his positions, because he's not a side shooter. You know, he talks directly, directly to the point. Maybe that needs to be polished up a bit to be politically correct, but I don't think he wants to be politically correct. We're tired of politically correct people occupying the White House and occupying positions of government that represent us. We don't want to hear the politically correct response. We want to hear the truth."   "Hopefully with Donald Trump being the next president, we can secure our borders. He is the only one who is actively engaging in the conversation about illegal immigration," added Cepeda, a Mexican-American who said her grandparents came to the U.S. legally in the 1950s.
